was surprised that carhartt would make a product that falls apart so quick. work boot you think of durable and strong. the stitching came off on the back of the boot. too bad because my husband said they were comfortable.

Fashionistas and the civic costume industry notwithstanding, the world would be a better place if the suits wore these. Called loggers or work (perish the thought) boots, Carhartt's rendition of the logger boot has superior form and function. The lacing system is convenient and instinctual, the shaft and cushioning support and move well, the tongue doesn't lace into painful creases or lose the knot over its slightly extended top, and the heel counter is seriously stabilizing. The removable insole breathes and is well shaped, and the lug tread will get you through terrain, concrete and paved worlds, winter, car breakdowns, boring conferences and filibusters. I got them in both brown, that is handsome with Carhartt brown duck insulated carpenters, and black for "formal" wear.
