Product Description
If you like to rediscover favorite hiking trails long before all the snow melts away, you'll appreciate the insulated warmth and support of these waterproof Men's Summit County Boots from Keen. Most winter boot and snow boot designs rely on uniform insulation throughout the footwear--open up these boots and you'll find the same layer of insulation from toe to collar. Keen's Summit County Boot features more insulation in the toe area than the rest of the upper, which makes sense for anyone who has ever suffered from cold toes in an insulated boot. Keen also added a unique Dual Climate rubber outsole to the Men's Summit County Boot for improved traction in varied climate conditions. In temperate conditions this outsole has a soft rubber surface that's ideal for gripping mud, gravel and rocks, but this compound stiffens and hardens as the temperature drops to freezing. This allows you to grip frosty soil and snow with better traction than the conventional rubber soles found on many light hiking boots. Note: Sizes run small, so Keen recommends going up a half-size when ordering.

By Andrew Doherty
I have not been let down by a pair of keens yet. Every pair I've had so far have held up pretty well to house construction work in the northeast, hikers in the fall and these in the winter.

By ama
Have not had these long, however my initial thoughts are that these boots lack something from the ankle up, in design or material, either way they are a little uncomfortable. I suspect for looks or to conserve a little material/padding ie. bulk ( see how narrow the boot gets from the ankle up) they have sacrificed on comfort. As for other aspects of this boot seems excellent.

By Pete
The fit and room in the toe box is great. Plenty of room for my wool socks and very worm. Great arch support that is sometimes missing from winter boots. I also have a pair of Keen steel toed work boots that are by far the best work boots I have ever had.
